Yes exactly. But it's a good idea to bring it up for good measure anyway as some people might participate with a character that spreads lots of negativity anyway, but without being directly disruptive. Not out of ill intent, but simply from forgetting that many events are about making the targets/audience feel good/something specific from it. Like honouring people returning from the war. It doesn't make them feel particular good to see protest rallies and such in the background. Or overhear not so pleasant things said about them. I cannot say if I'm innocent of this myself but it's something I've grown attentive too though and try to adjust the behavior to the situation. Celebrations you bring a joyful mood to and that sort of thing.

About not shooting warlocks just because they aren't in NE or dranei lands.. They should be shot anywhere, it's the law. At least for humans. But hey, those of us <Coughs>Throe<Coughs> who simply would shout out insults and then shoot them in teh head should just stay away from them and not make unnecesarry drama.

Yep, we can make that clear in our discussions with the dorfs and space goats. We're three mature guilds, so I think we can stage this in such a way that players will respect the overall theme of the event. Personally I'd have no problem with people responding very negatively so long as their actions don't derail everything else. If I playing a death knight I'd be pleased as punch to receive some less than positive responses; although being burnt at the stake would perhaps be a step too far.

Working together with the Light of Argus and the Mithril Guard could be interesting, I've generally had a good impression about their members. My approach to open or semi-open events is admittedly different. I prefer a clearly stated set of rules and the strong advice to ignore those who break them, because you are almost guaranteed to get people who (IC or OOC) act out to get attention, and IMO that can "ruin" it quickly for others. But I wish you the best of luck with this. Like Throe, Fera would definitely be out of place in that kind of setting for various reasons (the warlock and death knight thing for one) but I could bring an alt -- Thorra, maybe, who is the most uncomplicated of the lot.

Really like this idea. Of course I would have to decide which character to bring. Although having said that Ogda probably has the same sort of out look on Death Knights and Warlocks as Feralan not that Tylf is much softer on them.

I've posted this on the Mithril Guard and Light of Argus forums:
In order to make it easier to thrash-out some ideas, I think we should meet to discuss the OOC aspects of the event. With this decided, we can begin the IC build-up to the event.
It may be best if we keep the number of people relatively small, ideally 3 or 4 from each guild. I'd like all three guilds to have an equal say in how the event will be run. The only condition I consider to be a deal-breaker is that the event must be open to the public. This is about giving something special back to the RPers of Moonglade, and showcasing what I consider to be three very special guilds.
By all means collect ideas from your guilds and bring those along. By all means have more people in the channel, but the conversation will be easier to manage if we limit the number of speakers. I'll use the Elephant mod to record the conversation so it can be published on the forums.

I'll establish this channel tonight or tomorrow, so anyone who fancies joining it in the meantime is welcome. I'd love to get some opinions and real-time conversation to keep things moving along.

I like this plan, and I hope we'll see the event live in future There is many good thoughts said aloud here. I myself agree with Malon that it would be a nice to have an (more or less) open event to meet other Moonglade rpers. I really hope I can join it. I'll see if I manage to pop to the channel at some point. The work is keeping me rather tied up currently, though, so I better not get too involved with the planning. If some thoughts pop up into my mind, I'll post them here / tell them to you Malon. Thumbs up!

Cheers.
By the way, life has been a bit busy over the past week, but I'll definitely be on this weekend to kick-off the meeting this coming Sunday.

I can't take part tomorrow as I won't be ingame. There weren't anyone else but me around in the channel last sunday so no talking was done there either. Good luck with it though, I look forward to reading about what things you come up with.

I'll be around a fair bit this weekend to try to pull the arrangements together. Before Monday I want to set a date for this and try to understand who'll be hosting the activities.

I'll give you a nudge if I see you around then and haven't heard anything already, as I do want to pitch in with what I can and have.
