Quoted from the Alliance Player's Guide (RPG sourcebook) and an article on Blizzard's official Warcraft Encyclopedia:Darnassian | Common | Usage and Context | kaldorei | children of the stars | Can also be interpreted as "people of the stars". Typically used to refer to night elves. | nordrassil | crown of the heavens | When used as a proper noun, Nordrassil refers to the first World Tree. | quel'dorei | children of noble birth | This term once referred to the highest caste of night elf society in ancient times, the Highborne, who have largely been slain or transformed. Today this term is typically used to refer to the high elves. | shan'do | honored teacher | A courtesy title of great respect. | teldrassil | crown of the earth | When used as a proper noun, Teldrassil refers to the second World Tree. | thero'shan | honored student | A courtesy title of great respect. | xaxas | elemental fury | This term has many alternative interpretations, including "chaos" and "catastrophe". When used as a proper noun, Xaxas refers to Deathwing. | zin-Azshari | the glory of Azshara | When used as a proper noun, Zin-Azshari refers to the capital city of night elf society during Queen Azshara's reign. |
Darnassian | Common | Usage and Context | Ande'thoras-ethil. | May your troubles be diminished. | A farewell. | Andu-falah-dor! | Let balance be restored! | A war cry that came into popular use only after the Great Sundering, when the night elves resolved to protect the balance of nature. | Ash karath! | Do it! | Just as in Common, this command is a relatively generic one and can be used in multiple contexts. The speaker is telling someone to carry out an implicit action. | Bandu thoribas! | Prepare to fight! | A challenge to battle that has been used against enemies since ancient times. | Elune-adore. | Elune be with you. | A greeting that is frequently used among the Sisters of Elune. It is also used from time to time by most night elves. | Fandu-dath-belore? | Who goes there? | A call to an unknown party for identification. Used exclusively in military situations. | Ishnu-alah. | Good fortune to you. | A common greeting. | Ishnu-dal-dieb. | Good fortune to your family. | A common greeting. | Tor ilisar'thera'nal! | Let our enemies beware! | A war cry used against enemies since ancient times. |

Did high elves change their language then when they were trasformed? As they dont normally say Ishnu'alah etc instead sinu'amanore and so on. If they did, why? Just for independence?

Well, the changed their entire culture. If they kept the language, they would probably "hinder themselves" from becoming more then they ever were. Amasing since they did, and then they fell When a part of a people separe from another like in this case, Exile of the Highborne, exiled part will most likelytry to redefine themselves as well. And languages and religion is a heavy part of this.

If you ever have to speak to a broad Geordie you will see that a seperation of a relatively short distance can lead to a local dialect that is almost unintelligable to other people speaking what is supposed to be the same language. Probably more amazing is that the Sin'dorei have only existed for around four years, since some time after the destruction of the Sunwell, and prior to that were High Elves, previously members of the Alliance and able to speak common, which they all appear to have forgotten overnight learning Orcish in the process. That's WoW for you though.

Being swedish, and us blond fools have a thing for "aaaa" sounds, O say it as Kall-do-rej. Kall, not 'call' but as in 'shall'. Do as in "oops" and rej as... okey.
Kinda funny though: Sin'dorei is pron. as Sinn-dor-eye... eh.

www.wowwiki.com/Darnassian/speculationRan into this recently. I'm not sure how accurate it is, and with the list as long as it is it's not that easy to use but the amount of translations they've managed to put together is quite impressive considering how little infomation there is.
