******** Application for membership ********
Character name: Keleria Sharparrow
Class: Warrior (fury/prot)
Level: 82
Have you read both our IC and OOC guild charters and understood them?
Yes.
How did you hear about the Shadow Sentinels?
I was looking through the Guild Finder list on an alt, saw it and became immediately interested.
Why do you want to join the Shadow Sentinels?
I have tried several times to find a good RP guild for this character (my first and oldest on WoW), even trying to make one myself - all attempts failed. I want to finally be in a place where I can focus on RPing and maybe get my writing motivation back. Plus, you are a Kal'dorei focused guild that appears very dedicated to that which is also a massive plus.
Have you previously belonged to any other guilds?
Yes. And I am currently in a guild right now, the same one I joined when I started WoW because the GM took care of me and taught me the game.
If yes, why did you leave?
It isn't the same anymore after a series of social blowouts and I am tired of the generic WoW player who focuses solely on the "EPIC PVPING" and less 'creative' outlets in WoW.
Have you roleplayed before?
Yes.
If yes, what would you say your experience is?
Writing since I was twelve, and RPing on WoW for a good 4 years. I also have experience in forum-based RP and have been keeping one such story going for nearly two years. I've only once been in a dedicated Role-Playing guild as a Blood Elf - this lasted only a year or so but it was a great experience.
What do you feel you can contribute to the guild; what do you expect from us in return?
I suppose the character herself, I've done a lot with her and I'm curious to see how well I can actually, convincingly role-play her when I'm not just with her mate. (who is a real life friend) What I expect from the guild? Role-playing of course - a chance to improve myself and learn from others.
Is this your main character or an alt?
This is my main character.
Are you dedicated to spending time roleplaying with others in the guild; helping out with tasks, storylines and/or having a relaxed chat?
Yes!
How would you feel if a senior member were to be asked to mentor you as you advance through the ranks of the guild?
I'm mildly confused as to what this means, but I guess I'd be fine with that!
Do you spend your time roleplaying in or around Kalimdor?
I don't usually see people RPing in Darnassus and I feel silly sometimes just waiting around. I walk around Old Town, but if no one is around I again feel silly and move on. I really want to get back into this...
Is there anything special we need to know about your character?
She's not deaf or blind as such. She has broken up speech (long story short; she's been through a lot of trauma) and she also has red eyes. (One is hidden under an eyepatch) I know what you're thinking, "oh god, not another half-demon! Reject!" - she's not a half demon or anything so unoriginal. It's more a case of "leftovers" from a taint she was once host to. The taint is fully gone, but scars still remain.
Is there anything else you would like to add to your application?
Please don't let the red eyes thing have you reject this, I'm really excited at the prospect of possibly joining and I would do my best to act and react accordingly in-game should there be any issues to her eye colour. I already accounted for that in the 'Public Knowledge' section of her MyRolePlay history.
