Characters name: Tendrelas
Class: Druid
Level: 82
Have you read both our IC and OOC guild charters and understood them?
(Yes/No) Yes, I have.
How did you hear about the Shadow Sentinels? I heard about you just yesterday, much in thanks due to the new guild finder feature.
Why do you want to join the Shadow Sentinels? I want to join you because you seem to be remarkably well-established. Having such a long history(several years old!) is quite the testament to what a guild is, and what it can do.
Moreover, Tendrelas is the elusive sort, and by the judging, I think he will fit in nicely.
Have you previously belonged to any other guilds?
(Yes/No) Yes, Druids of the Wild.
If yes, why did you leave? Well, I'm sure you're familiar with the story! DoTW disbanded due to a general lack of activity, and since then I've had a gander around Moonglade in hopes of finding something that might suit Tendrelas.
Have you roleplayed before?
(Yes/No) Yes, extensively. My main character is a Blood Elf Hunter over on The Sha'tar RP server. Previously to that, I roleplayed a stoic, rather classic portrayal of a Sentinel over on Argent Dawn in a guild called The Silverleaf Sentinels. Lastly, in addition to that I also frequently engage in roleplay in LOTRO.
If yes, what would you say your experience is?
I wish I could sum this up concisely, but... I'm honestly not sure how. Roleplay is what has kept me hooked on playing MMO's - as my interest in the "game" part of MMO's has stagnated substantially, invalidating any previous interest I had in such activities - and has enabled me to meet a lot of genuinely kind and heart-warming people.
I'm hungry; I want to meet more.
What do you feel you can contribute to the guild; what do you expect from us in return?
I'm a bit shy with answering questions such as this. I hope that, by my attention to details and visceral prose, I may interest others - perhaps go as far as inspire. I mean this in the humblest way possible.
As for what I expect, I try not to get too entangled into that. In short, I hope to meet people just as enthusiastic about their roleplay as I am!
Is this your main character or an alt?
Tendrelas is an alt.
If this is an alt, how active are you going to be playing this alt?
It largely depends upon my schedule. I am a student, and as such, I tend to haul myself away from the computer when the opportunity presents itself.
Worth noting is that my main RP guild on The Sha'tar are extremely lenient, and not at all in any way demanding that I log on. As such, there is nothing that will keep me away from coming here and helping out, or RP'ing with someone, should no one else be around! I play a lot, and I'm sure I can clock in a lot of hours on Moonglade.
Are you dedicated to spending time roleplaying with others in the guild; helping out with tasks, storylines and/or having a relaxed chat?
Yes, yes and yes! I do not mind any of these things - often, I'll find myself doing two out of the three parts simultaneously, if the situation warrants.
How would you feel if a senior member were to be asked to mentor you as you advance through the ranks of the guild? A free excuse to always RP with someone without making up a viable excuse for "meeting?" Count me in!
Do you spend your time roleplaying in or around Kalimdor? As much as I have roleplayed, it has predominantly been spent upon Kalimdor. I can't easily give away an explanation for Tendrelas visiting the other side of the world.
Is there anything special we need to know about your character?
(Don’t give background information here; just something that is unique like blindness, amnesia, deaf, etc…) If 'aloof' counts, then yes - aloof. Besides that, nothing out of the ordinary.
Is there anything else you would like to add to your application?
None of worth! Yunlei was most gracious and forthcoming in answering some of my questions!
